The Overhead Legacy

Craftsmanship You Can Inspect

Anyone can nail down shingles. We build roof systems — decking, underlayment, flashing, ventilation, and finish work treated as one engineered assembly, documented start to finish.

Our Philosophy

A roof is a system, not a surface.

Most roof failures don't start with the shingles. They start at a valley that was never membraned, a pipe boot reused to save eleven dollars, or an attic that can't breathe and cooks the underside of the deck every August.

We treat the whole assembly as one load path against water, wind, and heat. That means we open up the roof, look at what's actually there, and fix it — even when it isn't the profitable choice. It's why our work still looks right a decade later.

Our Build Standards

The corners other contractors cut are the ones we refuse to touch.

Full Tear-Off, Always

We never lay new shingles over old ones. Roofing over failing material hides rot, voids most manufacturer warranties, and shortens the life of your new roof by years.

Ice & Water Protection

Self-adhering membrane in every valley, at every eave, and around every penetration — the details where Kentucky freeze-thaw cycles actually cause leaks.

Manufacturer-Grade Systems

Underlayment, starter, field shingle, hip and ridge, and ventilation from one system so your warranty registers at the highest available tier.

One Foreman, Start to Finish

The same lead craftsman is on your property every day. You always know who is accountable and who to ask.

Documented Everything

Before, during, and after photos of decking, flashing, and ventilation. You receive the full set — proof of what's under your shingles.

Spotless Site Discipline

Tarped landscaping, covered AC units, daily debris haul-off, and a magnetic nail sweep of the entire property before we leave.

The Process

Six Steps, Zero Guesswork

The same disciplined sequence on every project — a $900 repair or a $90,000 replacement.

01

Free Inspection

A certified specialist walks the roof, photographs every deficiency, and checks attic ventilation, flashing, decking, and gutters. You get the report — no pressure, no obligation.

02

Written Scope & Proposal

Line-by-line pricing with the exact materials, quantities, and warranty tiers spelled out. No vague lump sums, no surprise change orders.

03

Material Selection

Physical shingle and metal samples at your home so you can see color and profile in your own daylight, against your own brick and trim.

04

Scheduling & Prep

We confirm your dates, arrange delivery staging, protect landscaping and AC units, and cover windows and siding before a single shingle moves.

05

Installation

A dedicated foreman stays on your job from tear-off to ridge cap. Full tear-off to bare decking, rotted sheathing replaced, new underlayment and flashing throughout.

06

Cleanup & Final Walk

Magnetic nail sweep across the entire property, debris hauled the same day, then a final walkthrough and photo set before we hand over the warranty paperwork.
